Tomáš Přikryl, Čtvrtek 18. prosince 2025
Five prestigious amateur international championships of the Czech Republic formed the pillars of the Czech Golf Federation’s 2025 tournament calendar. The increase in this season’s participation and growing interest of foreign golfers stand as testimony to their rising trend in attractiveness.
Five Czech International Championships tournaments attracted a higher number of high-performance amateur golfers this year once again, with a total of 662 competing for international titles and 135 foreigners representing international competition. Their participation also grew in absolute numbers and in relation to the number of domestic players, now having exceeded 20% of all competitors. The attractiveness of the Czech international championships is a natural consequence of the top professional level of their organization, the selection of the best courses and the growing sporting level.
Here is a recap of the winners who managed to triumph in the highly competitive environment this year:
Czech International Amateur Championship 2025 presented by Raiffeisenbank
The most prestigious domestic international amateur event, the Czech International Amateur Championship 2025 presented by Raiffeisenbank, was held from July 30 to August 2 at the Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně.
Jakub Dalibor Sutor claimed victory after a playoff against Germany’s Gelser, with both players finishing four rounds tied on 274 strokes. The deciding moment came on the 18th hole, where Sutor’s approach shot stopped one metre from the pin and he converted the birdie to secure the title.
The women’s competition was contested primarily between Czech and German players throughout the week. In the final round, Sofie Borůvková produced a closing score of 68 to withstand the challenge from her German rivals and claim her first title in the Czech Golf Federation’s most prestigious international amateur championship, finishing at eight under par.
Czech International Match Play Championship 2025
Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná (Old Course) hosted the Czech International Match Play Championship 2025 from May 29 to June 1.
The men’s final featured a duel between Matyáš Vysušil and David Tomi. Vysušil built a commanding 6 up lead after nine holes, putting his opponent under immediate pressure. Although Tomi claimed the 13th hole, Vysušil closed the match decisively on the 14th hole, securing victory with a 5 and 4 result.
The women’s final delivered a far more dramatic contest between Tereza Kamradková and Kristýna Malinová. A birdie on the 14th hole gave Kamradková a two hole advantage, but Malinová responded immediately with a birdie on the 15th. Her long birdie putt on the 16th hole brought the match back to all square. With the score still tied after the 18th hole, the match was decided on the 19th, where Malinová secured the title with a birdie.
Czech International Boys & Girls Championship
