Czech International Boys & Girls Championship – one week until the registration deadline
Tomáš Přikryl, Čtvrtek 4. července 2024
Starting this year, the Czech International Boys & Girls Championship (U18) has its own tournament, hosted by Greensgate Golf Club Dýšina from July 18 to 20. The chance to compete ends with the tournament entry deadline - July 10 at 12 noon.
The maximum capacity of the tournament starting field is 156 players, all born in 2006 and later who meet, among other things, the handicap limit set at 6.0 for boys and girls alike.
The tournament traditionally attracts a large field of players from such countries as Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary and others. The top junior Czech players will always face competition against whom they can take measure of their performance. The tournament is all the more attractive since the results are included in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR®).
This year's starting field does not include the 2023 defending champions, Louis Klein and Austria’s Katharina Schroll, and the only thing that is certain is that we will miss out on seeing a “hat-trick” in the number of titles won in a row, as it was offered to Louis Klein. He triumphed at the ICCR in both 2022 and 2023.
The tournament director is Luboš Klikar and the main referee is Adam Kratochvíl, supported by referees David Kula and Tomáš Vávra.
