Czech International Senior Championship

The Czech International Senior Championship en-joyed considerable interest this year, evidenced by a whole forty substitutes who were unable to join the tournament.

The 150-participant limit simply would not allow it, similarly to the previous year. The senior participants met at Karlovy Vary Golf Resort, in line with tradition.

The International Senior Championship is designated for players with 50 years of age or above. The tournament is divided into four different age categories: Male Seniors 50+, Female Seniors 50+, Male Master Seniors 65+ and Female Master Seniors 65+. The handicaps and, after all, individual results signify that the very best of Czech senior players, joined by other top European senior players, attend the competition.

In 2018, all titles were acquired by players from abroad. Tomas Persson dominated both in the Male Seniors 50+ and Masters Male Seniors 65+ categories, while Emanuela Gumirato (50+) and Cornelia Fischer (65+ Masters Lady Seniors) prevailed in the ladies’ categories.
